Networking events

Registration is mandatory for all networking events at the conference. To facilitate catering arrangements, please specify on the registration form which networking events you plan to attend and whether you will be accompanied (limited to one accompanying person). Please be aware that certain events have limited capacity, and tickets will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

Welcome drink and early registration - included in registration fee

Early registration will take place on Sunday, 29 September, starting at 16:00 in the foyer of the Congress Centre Würzburg (the congress venue). This will be followed by a Welcome Drink from 18:00 to 19:30. Registration will continue Monday at 08:00 and throughout the week. This is a great opportunity to collect your badge and avoid the queues on Monday morning.

Icebreaker - included in registration fee

The Icebreaker event will take place on Monday, 30 September, in the entrance foyer of the Congress Centre from 18:30 to 21:30. This event offers a wonderful chance to reconnect with former colleagues and make new connections.

Conference Dinner

The Deutscher Wetterdienst (DWD) cordially invites the attendees of the 2024 EUMETSAT Meteorological Satellite Conference to dinner on 2 October from 18:30 to 23:00 at the Bürgerspital Weinstuben, a traditional Franconian restaurant and wine bar. It is located in the heart of the city, about 15 min walking distance from the congress centre, and is also accessible by public transport.
